It's February and the radishes are just peeking out of the dirt. With any luck the carrots will follow shortly. If only I could find the time to install row covers; this time of year it is dark when I leave to go to work and dark when I get home so the garden gets attention only on my days off.
The peas will be planted as soon as I get time - probably this weekend. Last years peas are still in the freezer proving that you should only plant those things that you will actually eat. Can chickens eat peas and pea vines? I don't want to let all of those peas go to waste while they are still viable. Plus, like any obsessive gardener I need an excuse to plant something - anything.
